Procedure

Apply Online

1. To Obtain General Waste Collector (GWC) Licence, the applicant has to make the application in GoBusiness licensing portal link
2. Enter a search “General Waste Collector Licence” then click on "Add to selection"> click on "Review and Apply" and then click the "Proceed" button.
3. The applicant can also make a search by clicking the “Government Agencies” and select “National Environment Agency” NEA and choose the appropriate service.
4. The applicant needs to login with their Singpass Id number and password

   Note:
   If you do not have an account you can register by clicking on register now, read the information marked 1 and 2 and agree to the terms and condition and click on register now, no the next page entry your personal information and submit. You will be issued with you Sing Pass ID number and password.

5. The applicant has to necessary information and submit the required document that are mentioned in “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. After submitting the documents review the application and click submit.
7. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee of S$195.00via credit or debit card.
8. After successful payment the National environment agency will send out the General Waste Collector (GWC) Licence to the stated email within stipulated period of time.
9. The applicant can check the status via GoBusiness licensing portal.

Required Documents

• Vehicle Log Card(s)
• Certified true copies of Vehicle Registration Card for each of the vehicles
• Photographs of each of the vehicles, open top containers (OTCs), compactors andequipment used, showing licence no. plate and labels. For vacuum tanker, documents showing certification for water tightness by its manufacturer or any competent third party.

Any person or company wishes to conduct business of collecting, transporting and disposing waste at disposal facilities are eligible to make this application.

Fees

• Fee to obtain General Waste Collector (GWC) Licence is $195.00

Validity

• The General Waste Collector (GWC) Licenceis valid for one year.

Applicants can make payment for licences through the following channels:

• Paypal via GoBusiness Licensing Portal. In PayPal, applicants can make payment via credit card and PayPal wallet
• AXS kiosks, e-Stations and m-Stations; and
• NETS and Cash Card

Need for the Document

• The general waste collector licence is generally applicable to companies that are in the business of waste collection and transportation for disposal at the refuse incineration plants or landfill or water reclamation plants. The proper type of waste collection vehicle(s) and equipment must be used for the collection and transportation of general waste from the collection point to the disposal facility.
