Procedure

Apply Online

1. To Apply for PCHRD Research Grant, the applicant has to make the application online via the following link
2. The applicant has to click on “Register now” and enter their Basic Personal Information, Educational Background, Affiliation, Program(s)/Project(s) involved and register and account.
3. After registering the applicant has to login with their user id and password.
4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form.
5. Make sure that the applicant has to upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. Review the application and click “Submit”.
7. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority. (If required)
8. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
9. Internal and external evaluation will be conducted regarding the application.
10. In each stage of the review process, the proponent may need to revise the proposal on the basis of the recommendations of the reviewers.
11. The review process will take forty (40) working days provided that all the requirements have been submitted.
12. The applicant can track the application via the following link. Tracking ID was sent to applicant’s registered email upon acknowledging receipt of proposal.

Eligibility

• Filipinos with at least a Master’s Degree in a relevant field, have proven research competence/track record, and employed in universities/colleges, research agencies/institutes, hospitals, and other health related agencies are eligible to apply for the research grant.

• The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as per the authority’s request.

Need for the Document

• PCHRD funds research proposals that are aligned with the research priority topics under the National Unified Health Research Agenda (NUHRA). NUHRA guides the health research sector on the health researches that address the most pressing health concerns of the country.

• Internal evaluation and screening in terms of alignment to the research priorities, duplication, and completeness of requirements.
• External evaluation by technical experts and consultants based on the following criteria:

• Technical and Ethical Merit
• Data Management
• Feasibility (practicality, cost, time)
• Proponent’s/Institution’s Capacity
• Marketability Potential (for product-based proposals)
• Final approval by the PCHRD Executive Director, PCHRD Governing Council or the DOST Executive Committee depending on the recommended total budgetary requirement of the proposal.
