Apply In Person

  1. To Apply for Accreditation of Primary and Secondary Tourism Related Establishments (New Application), the applicant has to approach the Department of Tourism link
  2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
  7. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
  8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  9. The Officer will schedule and inspect within 10 working days after receipt of complete and correct documentary requirements.
  10. The Accreditation Unit will schedule an inspection of your establishment. The inspection will be conducted by an inspector who will check if the applicant's establishment meets the minimum standards set by the DOT.
  11. If physical inspection is not possible or impractical, the inspector may conduct a Virtual Inspection of the premises through video conferencing and photo documentation.
  12. After inspection, the DOT Team will discuss its initial findings with the establishment’s authorized representative.
  13. Once the applicant has received the accreditation certificate, the applicant must display it in a visible area of your establishment. This will serve as proof of compliance with the DOT standards and can help attract more customers who are conscious of their safety and security.
  14. This entire process can be completed within 15 - 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

  • List of employees with corresponding job descriptions
  • Certificate of attendance to DOT-accredited training programs on customer service, hygiene, and safety
  • Sworn statement or affidavit that the establishment complies with the minimum standards and requirements of the DOT for accreditation
  • Photocopy of valid ID of the owner or authorized representative
