Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. Individuals may submit a request to the Criminal Evidences and Information Department at the Ministry of Interior (MOI) to issue a permit to transport corpse within the state of Qatar.
2. The first step is to visit the Criminal Evidences and Information Department offices of the MOI. Here the applicant will be issued with an application form to fill by the respective officer.
3. Now complete the form with the necessary information and make sure you have all the documents in hand that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. After filling the form, attach the documents mentioned in the required documents section below with the completed application form.
5. Proceed to make the required payment electronically and submit the application form, required documents, and payment acknowledgment receipt to the respective officer in the Criminal Evidences and Information Department office.
6. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
7. After the verification process, the processing of the permit to transport a corpse within the state will commence.
8. The applicant will be later notified on the same day (or next) to collect the permit to transport a corpse within the state.

1. Death certificate issued by the Supreme Council of Health
2. Death Report issued by the Ministry of Public Health
3. 'No Objection Certificate' (NOC) from Police to deliver the corpse for the concerned parties for burial (only in case the deceased passed away outside the hospital)
4. Original Passport of the deceased
5. Copy of the ID card for the recipient of the death certificate
6. Fees for issuing the permit (QR 10 to be paid electronically)

Need for the Document

• The next of kin or the sponsor of the deceased need to obtain the transfer of dead body certificate for transporting a corpse within the state from the Ministry of Interior.
• One cannot transport a corpse within the state of Qatar without a valid transfer of dead body certificate from the Criminal Evidences and Information Department.
