Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To register as commercial agent, applicant has to visit the commercial registration and licensing department in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) office.

3. Applicant has to visit the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) and obtain the application form from the respective officer.
4. Now complete the form with necessary information and make sure you have all the documents in hand that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. After filling the form, attach the documents mentioned in the required documents section below with the completed application form.
6. Check the application form and then submit it to the respective officer in the commercial registration and licensing department in the MOCI office. The address is mentioned in the office locations & contacts section below.
7. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
8. After verification process, the applicant will be later requested to collect the commercial agent registration license on a specified date.

Apply Online

1. To register as commercial agent through online, visit the following link: Online Portal
2. If you already have an account, please enter your user id and password then click on “login” button.
3. If you don’t have an account, click on “new user” option.
4. Read the general instruction carefully and click on “I Agree” button.
5. In the next page, if you have valid Qatar residency please choose “yes” from the dropdown menu. If you don’t have valid Qatar residency please choose “No” from the dropdown menu.
6. In the next page, please select the document type from the dropdown menu. Then enter the appropriate details from the applicable field and click on “Next” button.
7. Now complete the form with necessary information and click on “Next” button.
8. You will receive an SMS with the verification code to your registered mobile number.
9. In the next page you enter the verification code and click on “Next” button.
10. In the next page you can upload the required documents then enter the required information and click on “Next” button.
11. In the next page acknowledgement statement is available, read it carefully then select the checkbox and click on “Submit” button.
12. Now you will receive an email with a case number and a verification link. Verify your email using that link. Then visit the nearest MOCI office and submit the case number to the respective officer which you have received in your email and SMS.
13. After submitting your case number, officers will verify and activate your new user.
14. After successful login, please select the applicable option to register as commercial agent then complete the online form with necessary information then click on applicable option.
15. In the next page, you can upload the required documents mentioned in the required documents section below then click on applicable button.
16. Once you complete this,you will be redirected to a screen in which you can review your information.
17. After reviewing your information, pay the appropriate through your debit or credit card.
18. After successful payment, print the commercial agent registration license.

Required Documents

1. Written acknowledgment from sole institution owner of not being sentenced to prison for committing a crime against honor or integrity (in case of the sole institution).
2. Copy of QID card.
3. Commercial agency contract and its translation.
4. Copy of commercial registration.

Fees

• A fees of QR3000/- applies for this service.

Instructions

• Investors, companies and commercial institutions registered in Qatar, can submit an application to the MOCI to register as commercial agent.
• Applicant have to submit the original documents to the ministry at the time of verification.
• Applicant shall be a competent person in an institution or company with a valid CR in Qatar.
