Apply in Person

  1. To apply for vehicle clearance certificate, you should visit the Ministry of Interior, department of General Directorate of Traffic you can view the contact details of the General Directorate of Traffic through this link: Link
  2. Prepare the required documents mentioned in the “Required Documents” section below and visit the Traffic Department headquarters or Traffic Department sections at the Ministry of Interior (MOI) Services Centres in your region
  3. Obtain the application form from the service desk at the reception of the office
  4. Fill the application form correctly and attach the supporting documents to it
  5. Submit the complete application to the assisting officer at the traffic department for verification
  6. The official will verify your application and direct you to pay the application fee
  7. Once you have paid, the official will check and confirm that there are no loans or any financial obligation attached to the vehicle
  8. Then the clearance certificate will be processed and issued to you.<br.


Apply Online

  1. Visit the Ministry of Interior (MOI) website: Link and then select E-services to login with your smartcard to the e-services portal of MOI.
  2. Once logged in click on “Traffic Services” option then click on "Traffic Certificates" option.
  3. Select “Vehicle Clearance Certificate” option in the Certificate Specification and Click on "Next" button to direct you next page
  4. Enter the required details and upload the required document and click on “Next” button to go the email details page
  5. Then enter your email address in the text box available in front of the statement "I'd like to receive a copy of the certificate at this email".
  6. Pay the appropriate fees using the online platform and submit the application
  7. You will then receive a notification in your email acknowledging the submission of the application
  8. Once the certificate is prepared, a scanned copy of the certificate will be sent to your email address which you can print and use the hard copy
