ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person:

  1. To obtain fishing license for fisherman, applicant has to visit the Fishermen Affairs Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) office.

  3. Obtain the application form from the respective officer at MME office.
  4. Now complete the form with necessary information and make sure you have all the documents in hand that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. After filling the form, attach the documents mentioned in the required documents section below with the completed application form.
  6. Check the application form and then submit it to the respective officer in the fishermen affairs department in the MME office. The address is mentioned in the office locations & contacts section below.
  7. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
  8. After the verification process, the applicant will be later requested to collect the fishing license for fisherman on a specified date.

  • Copy of QID of ship or boat owner.
  • Copy of fishing license for ship or boat
  • Copy of the valid residence permit and passport of the fisherman.
  • Valid small vessel registration certificate (issued by the Ministry of Transportation and Communications).
  • Copy of the loan card, in the event of a secondment, issued by the General Administration of Border Passports and Expatriate Affairs.
  • Signing a pledge to be proficient in swimming within the application form.

  • Ship or boat owner who have fishing license are eligible to apply.
  • Ship or boat owner who have Qatar ID card are eligible to apply.
  • Ship or boat owner who have valid residence permit and passport of the fisherman are eligible to apply.

  • A fee of QR100 applies.

  • Fishing license for fisherman valid for one year.
