ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person

  1. To apply for Seaworthiness certificate for big vessels, you should visit the Ministry of Commination and Transport (MOCT) offices, please view the contact details and location maps of MOCT offices through this link: Link
  2. Write a letter requesting the certificate, this letter has to come from the company manager and obtain all the vessel’s certificates issued by the recognized organization and required in international agreements
  3. Then download the application form from the link proved in the “Documents to Use” section below or directly via this link: : Link
  4. Fill the application form and attach the request letter and the vessel’s documents to it
  5. Go to the Ministry of Commination and Transport (MOCT) to submit the complete application at the reception
  6. The MOCT official at the reception will verify your application and direct you to pay the application fee
  7. Pay the application fee and obtain the payment receipt
  8. Then the application will be forward to the relevant department for processing
  9. Once the certificate has been processed, the ministry will send you a scanned copy and you will be required to visit the ministry’s office to collect the original copy


Apply Online

  1. Visit the Ministry of Communication and Transport (MOCT) website via this link to submit your application online: Link
  2. Under Big Vessels, scroll to find and select “Application Trading for issued the certificate of seaworthiness” you can view the details of the application or Click on “Apply” hyperlink to direct you to the login page
  3. Click on login to use the nation authentication system to access your page if you are a registered user
  4. Entre your user name and password and click on “Continue” button to login or login using your smartcard.
  5. If you are not a registered user, click on “Create new account” to register
  6. In the registration page, choose to register as “Qatari citizens and residents” or “Visitors and business representatives” under account type and clink on “Continue”to go to the personal information page
  7. Fill the all the required information and proceed to the password page enter a strong matching password and press “Continue” to complete the registration.
  8. Go to your email account as instructed and authenticate your account then Login
  9. Once in the account, entre the required data and attach copies of the required document then submit
  10. Pay the application fee using the online platform
  11. Upon a successful payment and submission of your application, you will receive an acknowledgment receipt of the application form the Ministry
  12. Then the application will be processed and you will be sent a copy of the certificate to your email account
