Apply In-Person:
- To Registration of Goods Exported for Re-Importation in person, the applicant has to approach the Mauritius Revenue Authority Contact link
- The applicant must download the application form from this website link or the applicant can get the application form from the relevant authority.
- After downloading the application form, the applicant must fill in all the required details and sign the form.
- The applicant must attach the documents required along with the application form such as the Export Declaration Form and the Bank Statement of Export Payment and they can be found under the “Required Document” section of this page.
- The completed application form and all the required documents must be submitted to the relevant authorities.
- Applicants must submit the payment of the fee applicable for the registration of goods exported for re-importation.
- A fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
- The application form is then reviewed by the relevant authority and the applicant is informed about the status of the application within several days.
- If the application is approved, the applicant will receive a certificate of registration from the relevant authority.
- The applicant must adhere to the rules and regulations of the relevant authority for the registration.
- The applicant must keep the registration number safe and use it for any further communication with the relevant authority.

- Any person who has exported goods from Mauritius and is intending to re-import them is eligible for Registration of Goods Exported for Re-Importation in Mauritius.

- In Mauritius, goods exported for re-importation are subject to the same rules that apply to goods imported into the country.
- The exporter must register with the Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA) in order to receive a Goods Export Permit (GEP).
- The permit is required for goods to be exported out of Mauritius and re-imported.
- The exporter must also provide the MRA with a copy of the invoice and the shipping documents.
- The exporter must also pay the applicable taxes and duties. In addition, the exporter must ensure that the goods are in compliance with the applicable Mauritian laws and regulations.
