Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Validate or Equate Foreign Educational Certificate in person, the applicant has to visit the Federal Ministry of Education.
2. The address and contact details can be found in the following contact link
3. Visit the 8th floor of the Ministry and approach the relevant authority for evaluating or equating your Foreign Qualifications.
4. Ask them for the prescribed format to apply for the evaluation. Authorities over there will guide you accordingly.
5. Do as instructed and complete the application format prescribed. Make sure that you have all the documents mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. Submit the documents and completed application format to the relevant authority at the office.
7. Pay the amount of fees required for the application and evaluation process, as instructed by the officials.
8. After successful payment, the application and attached documents will be forwarded for various verification processes.
9. Once the evaluation has been done appropriately, the applicant will be informed through email or mobile to collect the Certificate of Evaluation.
10. Meanwhile, he/she can also check with the office they applied, for the progress of application.

Eligibility

• Any person in Nigeria, who has a foreign qualification that needs evaluation for employment and admission purposes, can apply.
• The person applying can be a Nigerian citizen or a foreigner residing in Nigeria.
• The person applying must have a proper Identification document.

Fees

Amount to be paid: ₦500.00 only

Validity

The Evaluation Certificate usually valid forever and does not need renewal.
