Procedure

CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP:
Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for registering with Computer Professionals Registration Council in person, the applicant has to visit any nearest office of the Computer Professionals Registration Council.
2. The address and contact details of the Computer Professionals Registration Council can be found in the following link:Link
3. Visit the office and buy a registration application form for corporate membership under the category you need.
4. Or click here to download the application form:Link
5. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
6. Complete the application form with required fields under relevant fields and attach the required documents with the completed form.
7. Then, submit the application package to the Secretariat at the office for further processing.
8. On receipt of the application form in the previous step, the Secretariat dispatches an acknowledgement letter to the applicant.
9. Further, necessary internal processes take place under the guidance of the Secretariat.
10. After the completion of all processes, successful applicants shall be informed in writing and invited for collecting the Registration Certificate.
    

'INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP: Note (Prerequisites):

1. A prospective member, who has served (NYSC), by October 2007, would attend ERP (Executive Registration Programme) and qualifies for Full membership. ERP costs N80, 000.00 only
2. A prospective member, who has served (NYSC) between 2008 & 2009, would attend ERP but qualifies for Associate membership. For upgrade to Full member, would write CPE 3 exam. CPE 3 exam costs N96. 200.00 + exam form of N2, 000.00 = N98, 200.00
3. 2010 - 2012, would start from CPE (Computer Professional Exam) 2 exam and qualifies for Associate membership. CPE 2 costs N28, 700.00 + exam form = N30, 700.00
4. 2013 - up until now, with graduate induction ( the individual should have been inducted in his/her school by CPN) would start from CPE 2 exam
5. 2013 - up until now, no graduate induction in school, would start from CPE 1, no matter the qualification. CPE 1 costs N26, 700 + exam form = N28, 700.00.

4. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
5. Complete the application form with required fields under relevant fields and attach the required documents with the completed form.
6. Then, submit the application package to the Secretariat at the office for further processing.

Apply Online

1. To apply for registering with Computer Professionals Registration Council online, the applicant has to visit the following link:Link
2. Read the instructions and then click “here”button to start the application. Individual Membership Application will open.
3. Complete the ‘Personal information’section by entering the required details in the fields provided and click “Save and continue” button after completing.
4. Complete the ‘Academics Information’ section by adding details of your academics. To add information, click ‘+’ symbol and click “Save” button after completing.
5. Click “Continue” buttonand ‘Professional Examination Information’ section will open, complete it by adding details of Professional Examination.To add information, click ‘+’ symbol and click “Save” button after completing.
6. Click “Continue” button and ‘Professional Body’ section will open, complete it by adding details of Professional body of membership.To add information, click ‘+’ symbol and click “Save and continue” button after completing.
7. Complete the other sections also similarly and in the ‘Attachments’ section, enter the title of the documents, select the type of the documents and click “Choose file” button to upload.
8. After uploading, click “Add” button. Similarly, complete the other sections with required details.
9. When completed filling all the sections, “Continue” button.‘APPLICATION SUMMARY’ page will be displayed.
10. Go through it and click “Finish” button. Online Payment section is the next section, select the method of online payment and click “Make payment” button.
11. Click the captcha and click “Continue” button. Payment gateway will open, note down the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) and click “Submit” button.
12. Then, enter the card details and click “Pay” button.
13. On receipt of the application form in the previous step, the Secretariat dispatches an acknowledgement letter to the applicant.
14. Further, necessary internal processes take place under the guidance of the Secretariat.
15. After the completion of all processes, successful applicants shall be informed in writing and invited for collecting the Registration Certificate.

• Every registered member (individual or corporate) is required thereafter to pay annually, a licence fee (to renew the practitioners licence) to enable computing professional practice by such a member (individual or corporate).

• A portion of the form should be completely endorsed by two financial current CPN full members.
