Procedure

1. To apply for Commercial and Service Buildings and Clusters (Cinemas, Theaters, Concert, Hotel, Guest House, Office, Shops, Supermarket, Restaurant, Cafeteria, Bars, Night Club and Bank) License or Permit the applicant has to contact the Ministry of Local Governments and Outer Islands and related offices in Mauritius.
2. Application forms along with part A,B & C along with plan in part B should be submitted along with appropriate documents to the local Building and Land Use office.
3. Once the application is submitted with appropriate fees the application is given a reference number and effective date.
4. The steps that are being followed inside the local government office for processing the application can be obtained from pages 25 to 28 of the following document : Guidelines
5. If the application is successful the applicant will be requested to pay appropriate fees for obtaining the residential development license or permit.
