Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply or get an approval for Aircraft Maintenance Organization in person, the applicant has to visit the office of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority.

3. Visit the NCAA office and obtain an application form to apply or get an approval for Aircraft Maintenance Organization Certificate from the relevant department.
4. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Complete the application form with necessary details and attach the required documents with the completed form.
6. Then, proceed to submit the application package to the Director General at the office in person for further processes.
7. Pay the cost of certification and inspection including the statutory fees as directed by the officials.
8. After successful payment, the Authority carries out a cursory review on the application package.
9. Then, the applicant will call upon a formal meeting in which a schedule of events has been drawn, giving the sequence of activities to be done and the agreed time frame of accomplishment.
10. Next is the Document Evaluation Phase in which the Authority Inspectors carry out an in depth review of the contents of each document submitted for regulatory compliance, relevance and scope.
11. Further, Demonstration and Inspection will take place in which the organisation facility, stations, programs, systems and processes are inspected.
12. When all regulatory requirements for approval of a maintenance organisation have been satisfactorily met, the Authority shall prepare and issue to the applicant the Approval Certificate.
