ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for getting Exporters Registration Certificate in person, the applicant has to visit any local office of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council.
  2. The address details can be found in the following addresses link
  3. Visit the office and get an application form for registering as an Exporter from the respective department.
  4. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. Now, complete the application form with appropriate information under relevant sections. Attest it with your signature once completed.
  6. Once completed filling the application form, submit it in person to the relevant authority at the office.
  7. Pay the required amount of fees for application processing and registration.
  8. After submission, the application and other documents will be forwarded for examination and verification processes.
  9. When the verification and validation processes are over, the application will be approved and the officials will proceed to take required steps to issue the registration certificate.
  10. On successful registration, the applicant will receive a formal notification from the office through phone or email for collecting the registration certificate.


Apply Online

  1. You can just click on the following link to go to the NEPC E-Registration Platform apply online link
  2. In the page that opens, click “Login” tab if you have registered already, enter the user details in the login page and click “Login” button to login and or if you are a new user, click “create an account” tab.
  3. In the page that opens, enter your Official Company e-mail address, security codein the tab provided and click “verify e-mail” button. Enter “ok” in the box that appears.
  4. Check your email inbox for verification email and click the link provided. Registration page will open, enter the details asked for in the appropriate fields and click “Register” button.
  5. After getting registered, you will get into the NEPC online registration platform. In the homepage, you will find an option as “Register a New Certificate”.
  6. Make a click on it and the online registration form will open. In the first page of the form, fill out the company details as applicable and click “Next” button.
  7. Click “Ok” button in the pop-up that appears above which will lead to the second page ‘Corporate Overview’. Complete the second page as required and click “Next” button.
  8. Click “Ok” button in the pop-up that appears above which will lead to the third page of the registration form. Complete the third page as applicable, upload documents by clicking “Choose file” button and choose delivery options as your convenience.
  9. After completing, click “Preview” button to go through your provided details and click “Submit & Proceed to Payment” button. Click “Ok” button in the pop-up that appears above.
  10. Invoice with the amount of fees to be paid will be displayed. You can print or save your invoice by clicking on “Print” button and pay the required fees by clicking “Make Payment” button.
  11. Check the amount to be paid in the next page and click “Submit” button. In the payment gateway, enter the card particulars and click “Pay” button to complete the registration process and obtain the registration Certificate.
  12. Within a day, the internal processes will get over and you will be informed about the collection of the certificate.

  • Any organisation, that wishes to involve in export business inside Nigeria, can apply.
  • The applying organisation can be a Nigeria-based organisation or a foreign organisation.


FeesEdit

Exporter’s Certificate: N13,500

ValidityEdit

NEPC issued certificates are valid for an initial two years (24 months).

  • Applicants are advised to complete the registration form neatly and completely with absolute legibility and appropriateness to avoid rejections. Also, all the required documents must be furnished completely.
  • The required documents should be complete as required by the council and should be produced/submitted wherever necessary during customs process.
