Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To obtain a driver’s license extract, the applicant will need to visit the nearest Motor Vehicles Office. Find the nearest office here Link
2. The applicant will need to carry their driver’s license with them and present it at the office.
3. The applicant will need to palace a request for a driver's license extract.
4. The applicant will need to pay fees for this to obtain an extract, find further information under the “Fees” section of this page.
5. The applicant will receive their driver’s license extract the same day; it can be collected from the counter after fee payment.

Apply Online

1. To obtain a driver’s license extract, the applicant can use the Driving and Transportation online service. Here is the contact Link
2. Click on the following link to order a driver’s license extract online Link
3. Click on the ‘Get a driver's abstract” option. The applicant will need to log in to their account.
4. If the applicant has an account, log in. If the applicant does not have an account, follow these steps:
5. On the log in page, click on the “Create account” option.
6. Enter email ID and click on “Continue”.
7. The applicant will need to enter a password and click on continue.
8. A verification link will be sent to the applicant’s registered email ID, click on this link to activate the account.
9. The applicant can now sign in to their account.
10. Once logged in, the applicant will need to link their account to the Yukon driver’s license number, client number or Yukon general identification card number.
11. Select the option that applies, enter the number and tick the disclaimer. Click on continue.
12. The applicant will need to enter other details about their driver’s license.
13. The applicant will need to pay fees for this to obtain an extract, find further information under the “Fees” section of this page.
14. Once the applicant has answered all the questions and paid the fee, they can click on submit to submit that application.
15. The applicant can download and print their extract immediately after submission.

Eligibility

• The applicant must have a Yukon Driver’s License.

Fees

• The applicant will need to pay a fee of 10$ which can be paid with cash/cheque/credit/debit card.
• If the applicant is applying through email or fax, they will need to provide their contact number, as they will be contacted by the authorities to pay the fees.

Validity

• The extract is valid for 3 years, 5 years or for life depending on the applicant’s preference.
