Apply Online:
- To apply for Joint Initiative for Digital Citizen Research (Postdoctoral Fellowship supplements), the applicant can approach the Department of Canadian Heritage Digital Citizen Initiative. Here is the contact Link
- Click on the following link to the online application form Link
- If the applicant has an account, they will need to enter their details to log in. If the applicant does not have an account, follow these steps:
- On the login page, click on the “Register” option.
- The applicant will need to enter all the relevant information and click on “Save”.
- An email confirmation mail will be sent to the applicant, click on the link to activate the account.
- The applicant can go back to the login page and log in to their account.
- The applicant will need to enter their personal information, this will be their curriculum vitae.
- Once the applicant has completed their CV, they can click on the “Portfolio” option.
- Under “Application form” select the new application option.
- Select the “Insight Grant” option.
- Fill out the application form with all the relevant details.
- The applicant may need to submit additional documents, do so when prompted.
- Submit the application form by clicking on the “Submit” icon.
- The applicant does not need ot pay fees.
- Once submitted, the application form will be forwarded to a committee.

- The applicant shall receive their results through their institution or their portal login.

EligibilityEdit
- The applicant must be a citizen of Canada or a protected person.
- The applicant must not be holding a permanent faculty position or a position leading to permanency.
- The applicant should not have applied more than two times for the SSHRC postdoctoral fellowship.
- The applicant must be a student, individual researcher and research team who are eligible to apply to the following SSHRC competitions: Insight Grants, Postdoctoral Fellowships, or Doctoral Awards.
- The applicant must have successfully completed the SSHRC competition to which they applied.
- The applicant must be affiliated with a post-secondary institution.
