* It provides a simpler and safer way for businesses of all sizes to accept payments from merchant websites, mobile devices and applications, and at offline retail locations through a range of payment solutions. 
* Credit/ Debit cards from Equity Bank and United Bank of Africa easily link with PayPal Accounts. 
===Apply Online===
# Visit Uganda’s [https://www.paypal.com/ug/home PayPal Home page] to as to make the application for registration. The country is pre-selected for you and the language defaults to English, and you may wish to change these according to your language. 
# Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the [https://www.paypal.com/welcome/signup/#/email_password Get Started] Icon so as to Sign Up. 
# You will be directed to the page where you have to choose which type of account you want to open. You have to choose between an Individual account and a business account. Here is a brief overview of the two types of accounts: 
#:(i). Personal Account ; A personal account is intended for all who buy online, receive money or withdraw money from your card an occasional basis. It is the most suitable for basic use. 
#:(ii). Business Account; A business account is useful to businesses, company or groups. You will use your business or company name, and there are more advanced features such as the creation of invoices. 
# Fill in the required information which include; 
#:(a). First and last name 
#:(b). Email address ; then click on the Next button 
# Fill in your postal, physical address, date of birth , mobile phone number then confirm that you have read and consented to PayPal's User Agreement and Privacy Statement. Click on the Agree and Create Account button so as to submit your application and create your account. 
# Click on the [https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/summary PayPal logo] on the top left side of the screen. This will direct you to your PayPal’s account home page where you can now finish setting up your PayPal Account. 
#:* Start by verifying your email address by clicking on the [https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/wallet/confirmEmail/ confirm your email] link on the confirm email tab. This will send a confirmation email to your email address which you are supposed to confirm by clicking on the confirmation link. Confirmation of your email address will make you get important information about account security. 
#:* Confirm your mobile phone number by clicking on the [https://www.paypal.com/signin/phone-confirmation?intent=accountTile Confirm your Mobile Phone] link on the confirm Mobile Phone tab. This will send a confirmation SMS Code to your mobile device which you are supposed to confirm by entering the Code onto your PayPal account. Confirmation of your mobile phone will make it easier for youto recover forgotten/lost passwords. 
# Verify your PayPal account. Click on the [https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/money/accounts/new Link Card Icon] so as to link your'''Bold text''' Debit card or Credit card to your PayPal account. This is known as verification. Fill in the required [https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/money/cards/new/manual information] which include; 
#:(i). Credit/ Debit card number 
#:(ii). Card type (Visa card , Master Card , American Express , Discover ) 
#:(iii). Expiration date 
#:(iv). Security code ( CVV ) 
#:* PayPal will send a $1.95 USD charge to your card and after the card is confirmed, the charge will be refunded to your card. 
#:* The charge will appear on your card statement with a 4-digit code and the word PAYPAL. If you view your card statements online, you can check for the code in a few days. Otherwise, check for the code when you receive your next statement in the mail. 
# Confirm your card by entering the 4-digit code to finish verification 
#:(i). Have your 4-digit PayPal code ready and from your follow the steps below: 
#:(ii). Click Wallet at the top of the page. 
#:(iii). Click the card that needs to be confirmed. 
#:(iv). Enter the 4 digit code in the box and click Confirm. 
#::This will verify your account. When your account is verified, the withdrawal limit on your PayPal account will be lifted. 
# You can finish setting up your profile by clicking on the [https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/settings/ Settings Icon] on the top right hand side of the screen and adding your information regarding your
