&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Step 1: &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Check your eligibility to buy a resale flat that is given in the eligibility section of this page.&lt;br /&gt;

&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Step 2:&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; Calculate your finances&lt;br /&gt;
Before you purchase a HDB flat, you’ll need to work out your budget and consider the following:&lt;br /&gt;
*The amount of cash savings you have&lt;br /&gt;
*The amount you have in your CPF account&lt;br /&gt;
*How much of your take-home salary you’re willing to set aside to pay for a home loan&lt;br /&gt;
*The amount of debt you owe&lt;br /&gt;
*Miscellaneous expenses such as stamp duty and home insurance&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Step 3:&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; Choose the type of loan&lt;br /&gt;
If the applicant intend to get a HDB housing loan, he/she need to apply for a HDB Loan Eligibility (HLE) [https://www.hdb.gov.sg/cs/infoweb/residential/financing-a-flat-purchase/housing-loan-from-hdb/hdb-loan-eligibility-application  HLE Application] letter before the OTP can be granted.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Step 4: &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Register intent to buy&lt;br /&gt;
*The next step is to register your Intent to Buy which can be done via the HDB Resale Portal [https://services2.hdb.gov.sg/webapp/BB31AWDashboardWeb/BB31PLogin.jsp  link].&lt;br /&gt;
*Registering allows you to assess your eligibility to buy a resale flat, the grants you’re entitled to, and your eligibility to apply for a HDB housing loan.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Step 5: Receive option to purchase from the seller&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&lt;br /&gt;
After the applicant and the flat seller agree on the resale flat price, the seller (and their salesperson, if any) is required to fill up a standard HDB option to purchase (OTP) form and hand it to the applicant. In exchange, the applicant needs to pay a negotiable option fee to the seller. This option fee can range from $1 to a maximum of $1,000.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Step 6: Request a valuation report&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&lt;br /&gt;
Apply for a valuation [https://services2.hdb.gov.sg/webapp/BB31ERESALE3/BB31SMain  form] of the flat by the next working day after the applicant have been granted the OTP.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;The applicant will need a valid valuation report if he/ she are,&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
*Taking an HDB loan;&lt;br /&gt;
*Taking a housing loan from a bank;&lt;br /&gt;
*Using CPF funds to buy the flat or service monthly loan instalments.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;The valuation report will be used by the HDB, the CPFB or the bank to calculate:&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
*How much the applicant can withdraw from your CPF savings&lt;br /&gt;
*How much housing loan can be granted to you; and&lt;br /&gt;
*The minimum cash payment you must make.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Step 7: Complete the resale checklist for buyers&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&lt;br /&gt;
If the applicant decides to go ahead with the purchase, he/she must complete or endorse the resale checklist for buyers before you exercise the OTP.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Step 8: Exercise your option to purchase (OTP) &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;If choose not to buy: &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Sign the OTP within 21 calendar days. After signed the OTP, hand it to the flat seller or their salesperson.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Note:&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; The option fee that you paid to the flat seller will not be refunded.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Step 9: Submit the resale application&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&lt;br /&gt;
The applicant and the flat seller must submit your resale applications within 7 days of each other. Besides that, both portions must be submitted within the previously agreed number of days on page 4 of the OTP.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Step 10: Attend the first and second appointment&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;First appointment:&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&lt;br /&gt;
The second party to submit their portion of the resale application will book a first appointment at HDB. The appointment date must be mutually agreed on by both parties as both parties are required to be present at the resale first appointment.&lt;br /&gt;

&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Second appointment&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&lt;br /&gt;
If the resale application is approved, the HDB will schedule the second appointment 6 to 8 weeks later.&lt;br /&gt;
