#For first time applicants, one needs to enrol yourself in a diving school, however No law obliges the applicant to be trained in driving school before taking the driving exams to obtain a driving license in Mali.

==Validity==
The license renewal does not concern light-duty vehicles, but categories C, D and E, that is to say common transport vehicles, heavy-duty vehicles. It takes place every five years up to an age limit of 18 to 45 for the license holder. Beyond 4 years, renewal occurs every three years, and beyond 55, every two years.
