==Procedure==
1.) Applicants must properly fill up the application form. An application for a practical driving test constitutes an application for a Driving Licence.

2.) Driving tests are in two parts, theory and practical test. Tests for different categories are conducted by Driving Examiners and incur separate fees. Please note that the theory test must be successfully completed before applying for the practical test. Each category of licence requires its own theory test.

3.) A Driving Licence is issued once the two parts of the test have been successfully completed.

==Required Documents==

2.) Medical Certificates are required when applying for a driving licence in the C and D and F to J categories. Holders of driving licences in these categories, which have a validity of five years, are required to submit a medical certificate to renew their entitlement to drive in these categories.

==Eligibility==
Gibraltar residents who are seventeen or over on the date of application are eligible to apply for a Learners Licence for the varied categories of vehicles. Holders of Learner's License are permitted to apply for a Driver's License

==Fees==
Driving Licences

1. The fee for the issue or renewal of a driving licence is 25 Provided that where a licence or a renewal is issued for a period of less than 10 years the fee shall be 2 for each year or part of the year for which the licence is valid. -

1a. For renewal of a driving licence to any person aged 70 or over. - Nil.

2. For the issue of a duplicate driving licence: 25.00.

Provided that where at the date of the application the licence had less than 10 years to run, the fee payable shall be 2 for each year or part of the year for which the licence is valid.

3. For the issue of an advanced driving licence - 25.

4. For the issue of a duplicate advanced driving licence - 15.00.

5. For inspecting the register, for each hour or part thereof - 15.00.

6. For a copy or extract from the register, for each folio of 72 words or part thereof - 15.00.

7. For the addition of a further category - 25.00.

8. For a change in particulars - 25.00.

9. For the exchange of an EEA licence - 25.00.
