The applicant with all the requirements for importation in to the country is eligible to import goods. 
 
==Fees==
*Importers duties vary based on the type of good being imported.
*Fiscal value are usually 5%, 15% or 32% of CIF.
*VAT 15% of CIF. 
 
==Validity==
The import goods permission is valid until the products reach the Fiji Customs.

==Instructions==
*Importers must know the category / type in which they intend to import.
*An importer must endeavor to obtain a Customs entry (SAD) in order to successful import to Fiji.
*Importers must be aware that all entries (SAD) are processed through the ASYCUDA system.
*Importers must be aware of restricted and prohibited goods.
*Ensure that goods are imported through an accurate and correct Customs entry.
*Importers should be aware that entries containing errors and omissions are penalized.
*Make sure that all payments for all applicable customs charges are made.
*Always keep record of all commercial documents as they may be requested for by the customs at any time.
*Importers must ensure that all FRCA legislative requirements are fulfilled.
*Goods that are prohibited and restricted shall be confiscated at the port of entries and destroyed.
*Imports who wish to import a combination cigarettes, cigars and tobacco free should make sure that quantity doesn’t exceed 250g.
*Importers should take note of imports that require police clearance and special permits/
*Importers should be aware that in order to import any weapons a police permit is required.
*If not sure of what to do, an importer is advised to solicit assistant from either a customs broker / agent, or freight forwarder.
*In case of usage of a customs broker / agent, or freight forwarder, importers must be aware that any action by them is considered to have been done by the importer.
*In cases where an importer would want to use a customs agent / broker or freight forwarder, ensure that the selected agent is authorized.

Without the permission from Revenue and Customs Department, the goods from other countries cannot be imported.

It is important for importers to know the authorized areas where imports can be temporarily be held / stores as they away examination or transshipment. 
*These areas are
**Fiji air freight stations (AFS)
**Fiji inland freight stations (IFS)
**Fiji container freight stations (CFS)
**Airports (Nadi and Nausori)
**Sea ports ( Suva ,Lautoka, Savusavu, Oinafa and Levuka)
**Bonded warehouse (private and general) among others
*Travelers seventeen (17) years of age and above can import 250 cigarettes, 250g cigars, 250g tobacco, 225 litres of liquor, 4.5 litres of wine and 4.5 litres of beer free of charge.
*Items of clothing, toiletries and personal computers are also free to import and any other personal goods may be imported freely provide the total value does not exceed FJ$400.
