#Applicant should fill-in all the necessary details in application form provided by the ministry.
#Applicant should make sure to carry all the documents that are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page (Both photocopies and originals).
#A fee of 1000 Birr has to be paid for this procedure to get completed.
#Applicant must attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form while submitting.
#Originals might be collected by the authorities for verification purposes.
#The collected originals will be returned to the applicant right after verification.
#Applicant can get their license within a month. It can be sent via post or the applicant can get it by visiting the Ministry directly.
#If the license wasn’t issued within 21 days, then, the applicant can visit the Ministry to know details of their application.

Individuals who are determined to use dealing in insecticides and pesticides in Ethiopia are eligible.

*1,000 Birr for registration process
*$25.00 for technician license fee 
 
==Validity==
This registration is valid for only five years; as a result, after five years the pesticide Technician will be evaluated, approved (if it is complete) and then renewed for five years again.

*Any applicant who is not residing in Ethiopia- can appoint a local agent.
*Incomplete application shall be rejected.
*The label must indicate what type of pesticide the product is or what pests it will control.
*The ingredient statement must include both the active and inert ingredients in the product.
*Indicate the products toxicity from a single dose.
*All pesticide labels must have a section to let you know how to properly store and dispose of the product.

==Need for the Document==
*Individuals who use or determine the need for the use of pesticides, under the direct supervision of a certified commercial applicator, in Ornamental and Turf Pest Control, General Structural Pest Control, or Termite Pest Control must be licensed as a pesticide technician.
*A basic problem in the management of pesticides is the lack of a proper registration system in Ethiopia.
*Most of the African countries lack adequate pesticide registered Technician and this situation has resulted in the generation of large stocks of obsolete pesticides. Some pesticides with high human and mammalian toxicity and pesticides that have been restricted in developed countries are still circulating in the country due to poor regulation and lack of incentives to comply with Good Agricultural Practice (GAP).
