New page

==Procedure==

1.A trader who wishes to export from Cte dIvoire must start by finding out what is required to export his / her particular products from the country and also find out what is required to import to the market country;

2.Thereafter prepare all required export documents depending on the type of goods to be exported. The exporters must note that the some exports require special documents on addition to the general requirements, therefore an export must ensure that if exports require special documents, they should be obtained from the relevant issuing offices before proceeding with the exportation processes;

3.When all documents are obtained, the export then proceeds with clearing and technical control at the customs department. In this case, the export declares goods to the customs authority on an Export Declaration Form. The submitted information is cross-checked to ensure that there are no omissions and errors. Thereafter verifying, a duty assessment is made and printed on a payment assessment slip. The exporter is then required to make payment for any duties attached to the exports.

4.When goods are cleared at the customs, the exporter then goes ahead with port and terminal handling. Here the export declares exports to the authorities at the exit port / and terminal who also cross-check exports against submitted documents, assessments are made and the exporter is required to make any necessary payment;

5.Thereafter the exports can be transported to the market country;
