#To be a registered refrigerant handler you will need to complete the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning course at Bermuda College:&lt;br /&gt;
#*This course is available on demand and can take 618 hours, depending on previous experience and qualifications.&lt;br /&gt;
#*Get in touch with the office by calling (441) 717-1040 to make arrangement to take the course.&lt;br /&gt;
#You will need to take and pass the US EPA Section 608 test and the college will issue a pass slip.&lt;br /&gt;
#Read and sign the Refrigerant Handling Permit Application. Note: A link is provided under &amp;#039;Documents to Use&amp;#039; section, use the link to download the form.&lt;br /&gt;
#Get a company-signed letter to confirm that the organization you are working for has a good working order recovery unit for every HVAC service vehicle.&lt;br /&gt;
#Take your pass slip, signed permit application and company letter to the Licensing Office at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, located at the Botanical Gardens, 169 South Road, and Paget. NOTE: Bermuda College, your employer (if applicable) and the Ministry of Public Works Waste Management Section will be notified of your certification and of the expiry date.&lt;br /&gt;
#The Refrigerant Handler Permit will be issued to you and your name will be added to the certified refrigerant handler database and posted online.&lt;br /&gt;

#To those who have been working in the refrigeration and air conditioning business continuously for the past 5 years you are required to attend a 5-Year Update Meeting at the Bermuda College. The meeting will provide you updates in legislation and international best practices.If you have not been working in the refrigeration and air conditioning business continuously for the past 5 years you must take the US EPA Section 608 test again&lt;br /&gt;
#After attending the meeting, you will be issued a letter to confirm your 5-Year Update Meeting attendance.&lt;br /&gt;
