==Procedure==
You should apply for your visa in person at the Belgian embassy or consulate which is competent for your country of residence, where you will be requested to communicate your travel destination as well as the circumstances of it.
*In a number of cases, you can lodge your visa application through an external service provider (outsourcing partner).
*In some very specific cases, you can also be exempted from personally lodging your application.
*If you want to know more about it, please contact the relevant embassy or consulate. If you want to find out which Belgian embassy or consulate is competent for you visa application. 
However the following are the steps to apply for a Business visa in Belgium.

Step 1 : Applications for business Visa (up to 90 days)are accepted at the VFS application centre.

Step 2 : Applicants have to apply in person or through immediate family member (i.e. Father, Mother, Sibling, Spouse/Civil Partner or Child with an authority letter and proof of relationship. Marriage / Civil Partnership document or Birth certificate will be the only documents accepted as proof of relationship).

*On arriving the visa application centre, you will require to take a token at the entrance and be seated in the waiting area
*You will next be called to our submission counter where your application and supporting documents will be scrutinized
*Your photograph and passport will be checked for validity
*Finally, you will be issued a receipt for the fees and service charge paid as an acknowledgement.
*Please remember to carry the originals and copies of all your documents.
*Applicants requiring special physical assistance are requested to contact the embassy helpline prior to visiting the Embassy centre so that appropriate support can be offered.

*Belgium Business Visa requires a valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining; 1 visa application form.
*You must provide one 2"x2" passport type photo.
*A Business Letter from your company address to "Embassy of Belgium " explaining the purpose of the trip, guaranteeing financial support for you while in Belgium.

==Processing Time==
*processing time for visa applications is a minimum of 10 working days,
*It is recommended that you introduce your applications 15 working days prior to departure. (applications can be introduced up to 90 days in advance)to give an ample time to process your visa.
*Note that the Belgian Embassy aims to process applications within a maximum period of 15 days of receipt of the application.
*Provided that a complete file is submitted, a decision can usually be expected much sooner.
*But, it may take longer in certain cases: between 30 and 60 days (although a decision can usually be expected sooner) when additional documents are requested or if your application has been submitted to the Ministry of the Interior.

==Need for the Document==
Belgian visa is a form of permission or a pass for a non-citizen to enter, transit or remain in Belgium. Belgian visa is a stamp or form placed in your passport when you enter, and sometimes when you leave Belgium. A visa in your passport does not guarantee entry to Belgium. That remains the right of the immigration officials in Belgium. 
The Belgian Embassies and Consular Offices are the only accredited Belgian Government agencies, who are permitted to grant Belgian visas in a different country. Anyone requiring a visa to travel to Belgium for transit, tourism, business or private visits are required to apply for a visa directly with the Belgium Embassy in the country of origin. Generally, to avoid any risks that can come up when getting on flights to Belgium or at Belgian ports of entry due to possible miscommunication, visitors are highly advised to apply with the Belgian Embassy and Consular Offices in your home country to get Belgian visas in advance of travelling.
