The eligibility criteria are as follows: 
*Any Psychiatric patient earning minimum wage or lower.
*Any Bahamian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
*All Psychiatric patients must be over 18 years to 64 years. 
 
==Fees==
There are no fees associated with this service. 
 
==Validity==
The Med-Cards are provided to psychiatric patients for periods ranging from one day to six months.

*On the same day of the application, a Social Service Representative (SSR) contacts the applicant and informs about the decision.

*Reassessments for Med-Cards are conducted at six-month intervals.
