Anyone who is interested in building can apply for the Garage License.

Different types of operations on garage premises and the fees associated with each: 
*For Major repairs 
Fee for Issue: BS$100.00
Renewal fee: BS$50.00 
Transfer fees: BS$50.00 
Replacement of license fee: BS$10.00 
*For Paint and body work

*A Garage Licence is processed within 30 days following the submission of all documents. 
*However, if there are any queries or deficiencies in the application the processing time will be lengthened.

This licence cannot be transferred, nor can any changes be made in the operations covered by this licence without the prior written approval of the Minister.

*Name of applicant
*Address and present occupation of applicant
*State location and description of premises
*Name of owner and particulars of any tenancy
*Type of operations to be carried on at premises and estimated number of persons engaged in doing so.
*Name of person who will manage operations
*Date of issue of existing licence and name of licensee
*Type of operation authorised by licence 
 
==Need for the Document==
Any person, be it a Car Mechanic or Auto Body Repairmen or Auto Body Painters or Wrecker’s Yard Operators, who intend to use a site for any of the following reasons must get a Garage Licence. 
*To repair or replace vehicle propulsion units, vehicle transmissions, vehicle chassis and any apparatus, including any electrical systems attached to it.
*To repair and/or paint vehicle bodies.
*To store old or damaged vehicles and/or parts of it. 
 
==Information which might help==
The Minister will retain one copy of every application for a licence and one copy of all accompanying documents.
